Production of optical fibers and cables is our specialty and our purpose built plants are fully equipped with modern state of the art equipment. The process begins with the manufactures of glass pre-forms that are used to draw the optical fibers. Many hundreds of kilometers of optical fibers are produced in from each single perform to exacting tolerances and in accordance with the relevant international standards. The optical fibers are coated and then colored for identification before they are fed into plastic buffer tubes when they are ready for assembly into the cables. The cable design is based on our customers’ specific requirements and they incorporate a range of different materials to enable high performance operation in a variety of applications and environments. Samsung Fiberoptics manufactures fiber optic cables for a number of telecommunication sectors ranging from telecom operators to transportation. All of our cables are fully compliant with the relevant standards.
