Samsung's 50/125μm multimode optical fiber for 1 gigabit transmission is a graded index fiber with a 50μm core and 125μm clad diameter and designed for laser based Gigabit Ethernet and other high speed local area network applications. It is manufactured by Samsung's proprietary
MCVD technology and suitable for high performance premises applications including backbone, riser, and horizontal networks.
